YCCE, Nagpur collaborates with Nordic Game Design School to step up its BTech curriculum

The global gaming industry has seen a year-over-year growth in the preceding half-decade. This boost in gaming sales created nearly 20,000 jobs in 2020 alone, and it's not expected to slow down any time soon. As a proactive step towards adopting future technology trends, Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur, a self -financed Autonomous Higher educational institute engaged in

providing the technical education at the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) level, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NordicMojo LLP, Pune (in partnership with Edugametion Oy, Finland) to offer Game Design course from second year of BTech (all branches) onwards. In the event hosted at YCCE, Nagpur on 27th December 2021, Dr. Uday Waghe, Principal, YCCE, Mr. Nilesh Sahasrabudhe, Founder, NordicMojo, signed the Memorandum amidst insightful interaction in presence of Mr. Kumar Mansukhani, Management representative, Dr. Gauri Dhopavkar (Dean T&P), Dr. M. S. Narlawar (HoD- ET), Dr. R. Dharmik (HoD-IT), Dr. S. Kadwane (HOD-EL), Dr. R. D. Thakre (HOD-EE), Dr. L. B. Damahe (HOD-CSE) and Mr. Neeraj Wakhare (TPO) "YCCE has taken pride in innovating its curriculum to enhance employability of our students, help them stay relevant and open opportunities of the future for them. With this collaboration with NordicMojo, YCCE will become the pioneer institute to initiate Game Design course in central India," said Mr. Uday Waghe.

"All levels of gaming courses shall be offered at YCCE," he further asserted. Nordic nations own a strong reputation in basic education, while India will have the highest population of young people in the world over the next decade, and our ability to provide high-quality educational opportunities to them will determine the future of our country. Education is a major theme in the two regions' development cooperation. NordicMojo brings Game Design School to India, a school created by Edugametion Oy from Finland, one of the top game development and education countries in the world. Nilesh Sahsrabudhe expressed his joy about the association with YCCE, "NordicMojo?s endeavour is to step-up Indo-Nordic collaboration in the field of education to promote the curriculum of future.
